At Children of Africa Leadership and Values Development Initiative (CALDEV), we mentor children to develop in them, the leadership qualities that will see them become change-makers in their respective environments. We expose them to the importance of Community Service, Volunteering and several attitudinal traits that define good leaders.
Our array of mentoring programmes include Fundraiser events for Motherless Babies Homes, Children Leadership Idea Contests and several training programmes.
In 2018 for example, we organized a Charity Walk that saw kids drawn from several schools in Osun State raise funds for their friends in the Orphanages based in Osun. The Children who participated in the Charity Walk were taught the importance of empathy and care for the less privileged. The Walk and solicitation for funds that went with it also helped the participating kids develop interpersonal skills that will help them function in their respective societies.
